We had a great time skiing. Lots of snow and fresh deep powder during our second day. Still feeling like beginners, but the kids are picking it up very quickly. Tommy went down some black runs.

We drove to Tahoe at the start of our Spring break holiday. First time fitting snow chains, hmm, this was easier during the practice on dry land.

We were lucky with the January weather. We have had a lot of rain since, especially in March.

Very important week last week trying to understand the CA high school system. Tommy made his course choices ready for the next phase which ends with high school graduation.

Looking forward to our spring break week holiday and heading up to Tahoe skiing

Fun to be had with Craig and Jayne over. Quite a lot of wine tasting, they too didn’t understand the wine spit buckets

Weather has been a little patchy, this was a food and wine week!

Superbowl Sunday

Seasonally unusual weather we are having, 28C fantastic

We really can’t complain this year – February has started where January left off… Apparently we do need the rain and it’s too dry, so we should expect some soon… This photo is of a Rory drawing that Andrew has up in his office of the four seasons. We like the blue sky for all four seasons!

The weekend ended with a Superbowl party in our neighbourhood. One of these days we may even understand the game, but it was great fun at the party either way.

Dungeness Crab

Spent a really nice afternoon down in Bodega Bay having lunch by the harbour and buying crabs with friends… The evening was equally as good when we cooked that crab and drank wine

Pinewood Derby

What a great idea through the scouts of America… Father and son spend the week making a car out of a block of wood and meeting the weight criteria etc… Then they get raced on the Saturday… Rory really enjoyed this…

Doran Beach

We enjoyed our trip down to Doran beach – we’ll be back here – it’s a great place to walk the dog and get lots of fresh air…
